Member of the ‘NEW YORK STATE SNOWMOBILE ASSOCIATION'
Hi Everyone,
I’d first off like to thank John, Chuck and their staff at Cross Bay Motor Sports for hosting our January meeting. Cross Bay is a new sponsor of our club so please support them as well as ALL our club sponsors. We had approx 30+ members attend the meeting. Thanks go out to Chris Volkerts for taking care of the food and bringing the chairs. To Karen Washer for making her “world renowned” baked ziti. Our club trip to Old Forge for Presidents week was great. We had approx 16-18 members attend. We did trips to Stillwater, Inlet and the Moose River Plains to feed the deer (no deer again, only turkeys and birds!) We did an early morning trip to Brantingham and had a great breakfast (snack) at the local general store/post office/deli/motor vehicle/courthouse etc…etc… and one long trip to Cranberry Lake. We also had our pizza party at Slickers on Monday. Members also went skiing nearby at McCauley Mtn. and some also went to the movies in town. We also patronized most of the food establishments in town including Van Aukens Inn and Frankie’s Taste of Italy for a members birthday celebration. Thanks go out again to our faithful tour guide (and birthday boy) John Vion. By the way I did take a small group out on a 70 mile journey and brought us all back before dinner! I think the “getting lost” issue is all behind me now. This month’s meeting will be at Riverhead Honda Polaris Skidoo in Riverhead. Riverhead has several leftover 2009 and 2010 Skidoo’s as well as a 2010½ 800 E TEC! Also available are several 2009 and 2010 Polaris snowmobiles. They are also offering 25% off of ALL IN STOCK accessories!! Please see one of the staff for further details.
NOTICE: 1) This meeting is very important due to club officer elections. Were looking for young members with fresh ideas to step up and get more involved in our club. So…if you are interested in helping keep “our” club going strong please come to the meeting and let’s hear from you!
2) Our governor wants to take money out of our snowmobile trail fund. We need members to petition this issue!...so…We need to have a very good turnout so please do your best to attend this meeting! Thank You!
